Candy Cane Pooh Bear

I meant to post this Candy Cane Pooh Bear last week, but we have been running around like lunatics trying to get through this last week of school and get ready for Christmas.  Better late than never.
Merry Christmas Eve's Eve:)

Little Cooper

She is making fun of me right now.  I suppose one of them is always teasing me these days...prepping me for their teenage years.  She looks so grown up in this picture to me.  She's not much of a baby anymore.  There are still small glimpses of tiny here and there, but they are coming farther in between. Those little glimpses are what I hold on to.  I love you, Super Duper.

The Golden Child

One of my girlfriends calls Blake "the Golden Child" because I love him so and he can do no wrong.  He certainly lives up to his nickname in this photo.  The light was literally golden this afternoon.  It captured how beautiful he is to me always.  I love this man.

Happy Babies

This was a photo I took from our San Francisco trip outside the De Young Museum.  So happy and sweet...

Oh Livvy Brynn

All three of my children went to see the pediatrician last week for their annual check-ups.  While they all received the flu vaccine, Olivia also required two other shots.  She was really revved up to get them...until she actually got them.  Then it became drama for the entire evening.  She went on and on about how much they still hurt and how she never wanted to ever get any shots again.  I told her really only had 2 more before Kindergarten and then she was pretty much done for a while.  She adamantly said, "No way.  I am never getting any shots again."  Me, thinking I could out smart her, told her she had to get just 2 more or they wouldn't let her start Kindergarten next year.  I had logic behind my statement because she loves her best friend and school so very much, I thought for sure she would say "OK" and stop ranting about it for the evening.  As usual, I cannot predict my baby or her behavior.  She sat there thoughtfully for a minute and then said, "OK Mommy.  I guess I will never go to school again."  Talk about my plan backfiring.  She actually got up the next morning and told the kids she did not need to get ready for school because she was never going to go again.  When will I ever learn?

This shot of from the North Shore.  Liv loved Daddy dipping her upside down in the ocean.  She is my thrill seeker.

Happy 8th Birthday, Arabella!

Arabella.  She is Bella Boo.  Pooh-B, Pooh Bear, Poo-Be-Choo-Be, Poobs.  Big Girl, Sissie.  Bella, Bells...my baby girl and Angel Face.  If you call out any of those names, she will turn to you.  I cannot even begin to sum her up in a paragraph, but I thought I would remind myself what I am thinking today many years from now.
She is caring and nurturing, loyal and loving.  She is smart.  She is beautiful and has no idea.  She is my little friend.  She sees things I do not see and is wise beyond her years.  She was born that way.  She loves her family fiercely as well as her friends.  She is talented.  Both physically and mentally.  She connects with people.  They seek her out.  She wants to go to college in Paris.  A design house is her plan.  She has already filled up pages of sketch books.  Last week she drew her wedding dress.  I told her she would redraw it a thousand times. She excels at most anything she tries except for singing. She likes to make people feel good and can make her sister stop crying no matter what.  She tells me she loves me everyday and kisses me goodbye at school every morning.  She makes me proud.  I am pretty sure she is plotting to take over my shoe collection.  They are already hers.
I love you, baby girl.  You changed my life.

Happy Halloween 2011

We have a leopard kitty, a SWAT team member and a cheerleader bitten by a vampire...all dressed up and ready for some candy.  I wonder how much work is actually getting done at school today...what a Monday morning:)

Dimples

The other night Arabella and I were discussing dimples.  She and Blake both have them.  She knew that I had them, but was asking about Daddy.  I told her yes, but she had to go inspect for herself.  She then repeated her facts to us...how we all have dimples except Olivia.  Olivia, being the third child she is, immediately objected.  "NO!  I want dimples, too.  Mommy, can you buy me some?"  She asked the question so sweetly after her outburst, I was wishing that I actually could.

I love this sister love picture from Hawaii.  Sissies are the best.

My Little Pumpkins 2011

Here are my babies at the pumpkin patch this past weekend.  It is one of my favorite places every year to load up on photos of my babies.  I love fall.  I think it is my favorite time of year for the vivid colors, the weather and the pumpkins.  My best laid plans of a photo extravaganza were thwarted this weekend by unexpected circumstances and I only ended up with a few pictures...not my normal 20 or more selection.  It all started with a Mother/Son Skate on Friday night that left me in a splint and sling for the weekend.  As I tried my best to shoot with one arm and my giant lens, I moved a setting on my camera and ended up with a card full of over exposed, completely blown out images.  Thankfully, I discovered it before we actually got in the car or I would have no memories for the year captured.  Daddy rounded up the kids and stuck them in a pumpkin barrow to save my sanity for the day.  So I get one single memory for the year, and I try best to forget the skating incident and the splint for a long while.

My Beauty

I love how beautiful her hair looks in these pictures.  It has become a mane.  She got into a trend last week of braiding her wet hair and sleeping on it at night.  The results are this lovely mermaid hair the next day.  She is so beautiful, but even sweeter in her heart.  I love this girl.

What if...

Arabella said, "Mom, what if you got your camera and took pictures of me with my wavy hair in my cheer uniform with this tiara?  Wouldn't that be sooo cute?"  OK, Bells.  Done.  It is sooo cute, my little Beauty.

Something is Missing...

Blake lost his first tooth ever on Tuesday.  A tooth fairy named Bennett visited him that night and left him goodies.  I think my favorite thing about kids losing their first tooth is when they stick their tongues through the new space every chance they get.

He is so proud.  I think he looks even better.

Rah!

The Pooh Bear was jumping with joy today.  I love it.

This Beautiful Man

This beautiful man is 6 years old today.  My sweet, precious love.  I want to wrap him up and keep him to myself forever.  I love him desperately.  Blake is such a good little man - good to his sisters, his friends, his teachers and his Mom & Dad.  He is happy and full of joy, and just wants to learn how things work.  He loves to play in the dirt, run around chasing or being chased, watch Scooby Doo, practice karate, dance with his sisters and help his Daddy with all his various projects/experiments.  He is so full of love and life.  I can't wait to see what he will become.  Happy Birthday, baby boy!  You are so good.

Kitty

It's our little Livvy Kitty...and she is oh-so-lovey.  She rubs up against us, purrs and sometimes licks us, although we are trying to curb the last characteristic.  She always says she wants to be a kitty when she grows up, but we know she already is one.  We love our baby kitty.

Soccer Spoof

Our little soccer baby, Liv, happens to be a Lady Bug.  We have high hopes for her and her soccer season.  She likes to play, she likes to kick the ball and she likes to pick flowers.  Who knows which skill will prevail, but we sure think she looks cute doing it.  We love our Super Duper Cooper.  Girl Power Cooper!  You are #1!!

She's Got Spirit

The U-Prep Junior Panthers had their first away game yesterday against Durham.  The football team did not win, but the cheerleaders sure were cute.  I am very proud of my little Pooh Bear.

Lovin' the North Shore

I filled up an entire memory card on the North Shore of Oahu.   These strong waves brought out so much in my babies.  They were electrified with energy when we arrived there.  It is too beautiful to describe in words, but these pictures are worth thousands of words.

Off To School...

With very, very, very mixed emotions, I sent my babies to school today.  Arabella started 3rd grade, Blake started Kindergarten and Olivia started Pre-K.  How can I be really glad they are in school and crying at the same time?   They are let go of me willing to start this new chapter.  I was left teary eyed wondering where time has gone.

Can You Pose for Me?

I can't get a normal photo of all three of them....although I don't know if I want to.

My Blakey, my surfer dude...with his new shark tooth necklace.  It's very good looking.

He's starting Kindergarten on Tuesday.  I am already going manic.

Just Running By...

I am trying to keep up with my own pictures and tales from Oahu, but it's about to get away from me.  There are too many photo ops here.   Olivia has spent her time running and following big brother and sis.  Blake has occupied his beach time trying to catch fish.  Mostly with his bare hands although he tried his hand with a bucket. Bella Boo has been searching for shells and coral.   When we leave the sand at the beach, we head for the sand at the pool as the pool is half tile bottom, half sand bottom.  It's ridiculously cool...

The water is beautiful...my babies even more.  Aloha!

And, the jumpy fish...

My Mermaid

She is my little Pooh Bear and she is a mermaid in the water.  She told me had this idea where she would burst out of the water and I would take a picture.  It's kind of funky, a little bit different and I totally dig it.  Aloha!

Happy 4 Baby

Our tiny little Cooper turned four this past weekend.  She had a party, balloons, a barbie cake and her best friend.  She was a happy baby...

So I know that I sound extra ridiculous when I talk to people about my baby and  acknowledge she is four years old.  I completely realize that she is not a baby anymore, but to me and everyone here, she will always be The Baby.

And yes, the cake was really that bright...all dictated specifically by the birthday girl.

Sissies are the Best

They were snuggling after a swim in the pool...for no reason at all...just because they like to cuddle with each other.  They look like little angels to me.

Focus

As you can see by my picture montage, Blake has excellent focus on the baseball field:)  Gary and I just shake our heads watching him dance around and wonder exactly what is going on in his mind.  And, we know he likes the hat.
