My Last Hawaii Post

I promise that this is my last Hawaii photo post. I finally got finished editing all of them yesterday and am having an editing hangover:) We had such a fun trip. I haven't even shared any stories as I have been so busy trying to settle back in, but one of the funny things on the trip were these birds that would come on our balcony. They were truly little scavengers who must have sensed there were little kids there that would drop countless crumbs. By the 3rd day there, they were actually walking into our room right by Livvy (who would chase them) completely unafraid.

Blake's favorite thing (aside from playing in the sand) was pushing the button on the "alligator" which is his version of "elevator." He also calls escalators "alligators" so anytime we saw one of those, he wanted to ride it as well. It became our fun joke with Blakey. He also managed to find and pick up a jelly fish on the beach on our last morning there. Gary was at his conference testing and Carla and I were at the beach for the last time with the kids. They looked like they were playing in the sand when Blake suddenly held up what looked like trash in his hand. Fortunately, no stinging occurred.

Arabella was in heaven having her CooCoo there. She was always attached to her hip, glad to have her there in person with us. Arabella starred in many tourist photos that were not my own. It was the strangest thing, but I would be taking pics of Arabella on the beach or posing and whatnot and people that we did not know would be behind me snapping photos of her as well. It happened on multiple occasions. Carla calls her "Renesmee" (any Twilight fans will know who I am speaking of). Of course I think she is a super model, but I am a little biased:)

Carla was a very good sport with the kids considering she has none and let's face it, kids can be very annoying. She got to contend with both Bella and Blake vying for who would get to sit by her (you can guess who won that one). She also watched the kids one evening while Gary took me to Roy's (our favorite Hawaii restaurant) for Valentine's Dinner. She bonded with the kids via Livvy throwing up and Blake developing his first crush outside Mommy on his Aunt CooCoo. When we returned from our dinner, we found Carla laying on the bed with three children passed out asleep across her:) CooCoo is a trooper.

Livvy was just Livvy. She can be a bit of a hellion. That girl has some fire in her. She certainly never allows for a dull moment. She loved the beach and the water. The beach we frequented had the perfect spot that she could walk into the ocean safely, which was nice. She showed no fear which is pretty typical for her. In her mind, she is as big as Arabella. She was mostly happy to follow the kids around, but when she was unhappy, she would insist we must all know it. We look forward to Hawaii trips when Liv is Blake's age...

We returned home to construction having begun on our new house. We are so excited. I will soon start tormenting you with my lot photos as it already looks so different. They should be pouring the foundation tomorrow, depending on how the weather cooperates. I will keep you posted.

More Hawaii Pics...

This top pic is the family looking at some fish in the ocean. The rest are just more random pics to share. I will stop this onslaught soon. I promise.

And Some More Hawaii...

This top photo was Arabella doing the hula dance while we were waiting for a table at Duke's during sunset. The following are from various adventures including our beloved CooCoo with her Pooh-Be.

More Hawaii Pics

As you can see, I had some fun getting creative with my colors and editing in Lightroom. These beach pictures are from the North Shore.

Hawaii 2009

This could take me a while as I went a bit nuts with my camera while on vacation (hard to imagine:) I am going to just keep putting up 5 or 6 at a time for a while. Hawaii was awesome. We had so much fun and so loved seeing our CooCoo. I am off to unpack...

Have You Seen a Bear...

Blake was walking with me into Arabella's classroom on Monday and he said, "Mommy, have you ever seen a bear kiss a goose?" I was quite without an answer for a moment as the question was so odd. He has continued on this theme for the last few days. We discuss all types of animals and whether they may kiss each other. It's quite random and hilarious at the same time. Never a dull moment around here...

These are pics of the kids playing around after a pizza party last night. Livvy ran with glee in the middle of a diaper change and I found her in Blake's room with this cowboy hat on. She was quite delighted with herself.

Winter Break

We are getting ready for a couple of big things around our house - the first a much anticipated trip to Hawaii this weekend. Gary has a CME course that he is required to attend this year and the only location available was Hawaii (so sad, huh??). We couldn't let him jet over there on his own, so we will be the stow-aways in his luggage. We weren't planning this trip until recently so it's a very exciting and welcome break from winter (and for me being done with this wretched surgery stuff). We got a last minute bonus in it also that our beloved Coo Coo will be joining us. Arabella is beside herself with excitement.

Our other excitement stems from our new home. We should finally have some work done when we return next week. It will be so neat to see all this planning come into fruition as the county permitting process has really put a damper on our time frame and made us want to pull our hair out (or maybe pull their hair out?:). Get ready to be bombarded with really annoying pictures of wood and land that only we could really appreciate. It will be our 4th child for the next year.

Happy 18 Months, Boogiboo

I am a week and a half late putting these pictures up (can I use the surgery excuse?), but we had little Boogie's 18 month birthday on the 23rd of January. This is our last "half" birthday we celebrate in our house so we couldn't let it go unrecognized. I don't know where the time has gone.

We love you little Boogiboo - you and your laugh light up our world.
